Worship Services

Here at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church we are privileged to have two worship services on Sunday.

The messages are both challenging and uplifting, offered by our pastor Mike Blankenship.

Our morning service starts right after Sunday school at 10:15 AM and it is a blend of contemporary and modern music with our worship team, choir, piano, organ and soloists leading us in worship.

We also gather for worship on Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM.

Sunday School

Every Sunday morning, we meet in small Sunday School groups to take an in-depth look at God's Word through study.

Sunday school begins at 9:00 AM.

Let Us Know You're Coming

Please email us to let us know that you plan to visit Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. Include things like your name, how many will be attending, and what service you will be attending. You can also give us this information by calling OABC at: 606-739-4124.

We have plenty of parking available for all of our services. If you are a visitor at OABC, you'll notice that we have visitor parking close to the sanctuary entrance just for you!

Do you have children under 3 years of age? Don't worry! As you enter the sanctuary, one of our welcome team members will show you to our nursery where you can be assured that your child is safe and secure during your visit to Oakland Avenue. We also have have 2 additional programs during both worship services: pre-K and Kindergarden. Ask our welcome team members for more information.

Your students are more than welcome to worship with us during morning services. However, during Sunday school the youth (grades 7-12) gather in a separate location. Ask one of our welcome team members where you can find our youth department.

What's next?

As you find your seat in the sanctuary, you will notice the visitor card information in front of you. Please take a moment to fill that information out so we can be in touch with you. Do you want to plug in somewhere? Are you ready to receive Christ? Let us know and we would be happy to speak with you!

Our hope and prayer is that you find a home here at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church.
